Bringing conversational intelligence to the field

About Mosaic Service Partners
Mosaic Service Partners is a national residential window and door platform backed by Alpine Investors, operating across more than half a dozen U.S. markets. Mosaic partners with local brands and communities to help them scale, investing in operational infrastructure, technology, and talent so smaller regional businesses can deliver the kind of service typically reserved for larger organizations.
The Problem
Window and door replacement is a significant purchase decision for homeowners, and most of the decision-making happens face-to-face, in the home. As Mosaic scaled across multiple markets and local brands, it became clear that strengthening the field experience required more than great people; it required infrastructure that helped them perform consistently.
The Search
Mosaic looked at the broader transcription and AI note-taking landscape. The bigger question for them was whether the full experience could work in the field: hardware reliability, capture quality, and workflow integration.
Mosaic didn’t just want to add another AI meeting note tool. They were trying to embed conversational data capture into the way their field teams work. Plaud was compelling because it gave them a dedicated hardware path that was simpler, more reliable, and better suited to customer-facing field workflows than phone-first or software-only alternatives.
Why Plaud
Silas Owens, VP of Technology at Mosaic, led the integration of Plaud SDK, which brings conversational intelligence directly into Mosaic's field operations, allowing the conversational intelligence layer to be built directly into how its field teams already work.
“At Mosaic, we believe technology should elevate the people doing the work, not replace them,” said Silas Owens, VP of Technology at Mosaic Service Partners. “Plaud gave us a foundation to build something that helps our teams show up better for customers.”
The Outcome
Mosaic, using Plaud SDK, captures and surfaces conversational data from field interactions, giving its teams better tools to serve homeowners in the moments that matter most. The integration is one piece of a broader, people-first technology strategy designed to help skilled professionals make better decisions and deliver more personalized service.
What's Next
Mosaic's broader philosophy is that the best outcomes for homeowners come from combining skilled, trusted local teams with the kind of operational and technological infrastructure typically reserved for larger organizations. By continuing to invest in tools that improve how its teams listen, learn, and respond, Mosaic is building toward a customer experience that anticipates the needs and wants of each of its customers, exceeding expectations at each step of the process.
Mosaic delivers what home services should be, across its growing network of markets and partner brands.
Mosaic Service Partners is building on Plaud Embedded, the transcription API and mobile SDK for developers who need real-world audio capture that works.
